Test of English as a Foreign Language:
English proficiency test required by universities in Colombia (La Sabana, Los Andes, CESA, etc.) as a graduation requirement. It is also a test required by universities abroad - USA, Australia, Canada, etc. - in the application processes to undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
International English Language Testing Services:
English proficiency test that assesses the four language skills (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking). It can be used to comply with the graduation requirement of several universities in Colombia (Javeriana, Rosario, El Bosque, etc.) and to demonstrate proficiency in English when applying to universities abroad - USA, Australia, Canada, etc.-. It certifies up to level C1 in the CEFR.
Test of English for International Communication:
This test assesses Listening and Reading skills, in addition to knowledge of grammar. Several universities in Colombia accept it to meet their graduation requirement (Sergio Arboleda, El Bosque, etc.). It certifies up to level C1 in the CEFR.
Graduate Record Examination:
Test designed to evaluate math and verbal skills in English. It is required by universities abroad in the application process to their postgraduate programs (engineering, medicine, psychology, etc.).
Graduate Management Admission Test:
A four-component test -Analytical Writing, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative, and Verbal- required by several universities abroad within the application process to their postgraduate programs (administration, finance, etc.).
Scholastic Aptitude Test:
This test aims to assess the skills of seniors at school. It is required by many universities in the United States to enter undergraduate programs.
Michigan English Test:
This is an English proficiency test. It has a Listening and a Reading component (the latter includes grammar). Several universities accept it to meet the second language requirement. It certifies up to level C2 in the CEFR.
Preliminary English Test:
This is an English proficiency test. It evaluates the four language skills - Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. Several universities accept it to meet the second language requirement. It certifies up to level B2 in the CEFR.
